A 2014 Hopkins Park murder has landed a Pembroke Township man in prison for 20 years.

25-year-old Obededom Hammond of Pembroke Township was shot and killed October 16, 2014. 31-YEAR-OLD Lewis Ashley Jr. pleaded guilty to the murder. He was sentenced to the minimum 20-years.

Ashley was facing between 20 and 60 years if convicted of the murder. The state's attorney office said additional time could have been tacked for using a firearm to commit the crime.
