The Iroquois County Sheriff's Department and Coroner's Office investigated what's believed to be a murder-suicide today in the village of Danforth. A couple was found dead in their home, according to Coroner Bill Cheatum.

The 35-year-old man and his 34-year-old wife both suffered a gunshot wound.  An autopsy was to be completed today in Kankakee.

Sheriff deputies and Gilman Police were called to the 300-block of W. Madison Street at about 6:40 am.
