Two people who died in an earky-morning crash in Iroquois County Tuesday are now identified as 26-year-old Aaron Reed of Onarga and 21-year-old Tazia Crite of Pembroke Township. Both were pronounced dead at the scene on I-57 at Loda. Illinois State Police and the County Coroner investigated at 1 am. Four other people, including an infant, were taken to hospitals. The baby was listed as critical. The other injuries were not life-threatening, according to police reports.
Reed and Crite were in separate cars. Police said Reed's southbound car crossed over the median, hitting the northbound car Crite was a passenger in. A semi then hit the second car, ejecting the passengers.
