A construction zone accident on I-57 at milepost 308 at Kankakee injured four people Tuesday afternoon. A Chebanse woman, 79-year-old Shelby Lamie, was cited by Illinois State Police for Failure to Reduce Speed.

Police reported Lamie was northbound just before 12:30 pm and failed to slow down, rear-ending a Jeep. The Jeep ran off the roadway and overturned.

The Jeep's driver and passenger --- both from Markham --- and Lamie and her passenger, were all taken to Riverside Hospital.
