Illinois State Police report a 23-year-old Champaign man was killed Monday night when his car was involved in a head-on crash with a semi on I-57 in Kankakee County.

Oscar Valdovinous was southbound when he lost control of his car, went through the center median, then into the northbound lanes where he struck the semi head-on. Police say Valdovinous was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kankakee County Coroner. The driver of the semi was not injured.

I-65 crash kills Wheatfield, IN man --

Snow-covered I-65 led to a semi sliding out of control Sunday in Jasper County, IN. The semi driver, 62-year-old Glenn Sharp of Wheatfield, was killed when his semi collided with another rig at the Demotte exit.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other truck driver wasn't injured.

Tippecanoe wreck kills woman from Washington state --

A 22-year-old passenger in a car was killed Sunday in Tippecanoe County, IN when the driver of the car slammed into the rear of a stopped semi.

Indiana State Police said Jade Foster of Goldendale, WA died of her injuries. The driver of the car, 25-year-old Kaden Milliren of Goldendale, was treated at a hospital.

Police said the car approached the stopped semi at a high rate of speed and failed to slow down. The accident happened on I-65 near State Road 28.
