I-57 Heroin arrest in Iroquois County

                                    Leads to an Arrest for Possession of Controlled Substance

ASHKUM, IL- Illinois State Police (ISP) District 21 is reporting the arrest of 23-year-old Rakeem Sallee of Urbana and 30-year-old Tony Brock of Champaign for possession of a controlled substance.

Wednesday, state police stopped a vehicle on the interstate in Iroquois County for speeding. Both occupants showed signs of extreme nervousness. That's what led to a search. The trooper located 4 ounces of Heroin which has a street value of $22,400.

Both suspects are jailed in Iroquois County. Sallee's bond was set at $150,000. Brock is being held on a $300,000 bond.
