A single vehicle crash on I-65 in Jasper County, IN Friday resulted in two occupants of the vehicle being transported to separate hospitals. State Police reported a car was south bound exiting the ramp. The driver was erratic and may have been experiencing a medical episode. Witnesses stated the vehicle drove off the ramp at a high rate of speed crashing into a fence that borders a campground.
Residents at the campground were able to remove the occupants prior to the car becoming fully engulfed in flames. The driver, from Florida, was flown by Lutheran Air to Christ Advocate Hospital in Oak Lawn. The passenger, was transported to Riverside Hospital in Kankakee.
