I-65 re-opened after fatal crash near Roselawn, IN

State Police in northwest Indiana report I-65 traffic is flowing again after a 3-vehicle crash killed two people Thursday night in Jasper County.

Two semi trucks and a jeep were involved. State Police say is happened just before 10 pm north of the DeMotte/Roselawn exit. A semi truck pulling a box trailer and a Jeep stopped on the interstate as both drivers approached a work zone. That's when another semi, also pulling a box trailer, rear-ended the Jeep. The collision pushed the Jeep into the back of the first semi.

The crash caused a fire which engulfed the Jeep. Once firefighters put the fire out, at least two people were found dead inside the Jeep.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to have played a role in the crash.
