I-65 rollover injures at least two people

Indiana State Police and other emergency responders assisted at the scene of a rollover accident Sunday in Jasper County. Two were air-lifted to Indianapolis. Others were treated at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee.

It happened just before 3 pm north of Rensselaer. A northbound driver lost control when his vehicle began to fishtail. The 29-year-old driver, police said, over-corrected The vehicle rolled four times, ejecting one passenger.

Police reported that ejected passenger was not aware she’d been ejected and was seen running back toward the vehicle to help, according to witnesses.

The roadway was closed for approximately an hour. During this time there were two secondary crashes in the backup.
