Indiana State Police at Lowell report Sunday's holiday travel resulted in five crashes on a stretch of Interstate 65 between Crown Point and DeMotte.

Police reported the crashes were all the result of motorists rear-ending other vehicles. All of the crashes were on the southbound lanes. They caused significant traffic delays on I-65 throughout the day.

Police said the crashes impacted traffic on I-65 in Northwest Indiana to Lafayette.

Police said there were no serious or fatal injuries in any of the crashes.
