A potentially dangerous ice threat from a winter storm this week could impact Illinois. One of the recent atmospheric river storms that has been slamming the West Coast with heavy rain and mountain snow could develop into the latest round of winter weather. Beginning Wednesday, the system will impact Illinois with northern parts of the state expected to receive freezing rain, while the rest of the state will see a steady rain.  High temps today near 32, winds at 20 mph from the northeast.
