The Iroquois County Genealogical Society is planning a program to help get youngsters interested in tracing their roots. This special program will help students in grades 5 and up learn how to research their family trees and find out where their “roots” come from.

This special program will take place Monday, Feb. 19, when many schools are out in observance of Presidents’ Day. The ICGS is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located on the first floor of the Old Courthouse Museum in Watseka. This is a free program but each child must be accompanied by an adult or responsible older sibling. Appointments aren’t necessary but calling ahead (815-432- 3730) would be appreciated.
