The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that beginning today (July 22, 2013), US 45 between 1900 N. Road and 2000 N. Road in Gilman will be closed temporarily in order to make repairs to a box culvert. This box culvert is located 1.5 miles north of US 24.

The northbound detour route will be US 24 west to I-57 north to IL 116 east to US 45. The southbound detour route will be IL 116 west to I-57 south to US 24 east to US 45.
The Department regrets any inconvenience this will cause and asks that motorists proceed with caution through this area.
