Ag Day at Danville Area Community College welcomed a visit from Illinois Agriculture Director John Sullivan. He was recently approved by the state senate after being appointed by Governor JB Pritzker.
Sullivan talked about the trade disputes and other issues. Sullivan says his office has been working hard to make it possible for Illinois farmers to plant hemp this year and believes it will start this year.... >>>>
He expects an announcement soon regarding permits to grow hemp.
The new Illinois Ag Director also said his office is working to improve broadband internet service in rural areas. He also told the audience a $10-million dollar renovation at the Illinois State Fair Coliseum should be completed in time for the fair in August.
