The Illinois Department of Agriculture is hosting its 25th anniversary event at the State Fairgrounds Saturday and Sunday. The March 2 and 3rd event is at the Orr Building. Visitors can view and sample foods and wines. This is the 25th year of bringing Illinois food companies and consumers together.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Expo, the first 25 attendees will get a special commemorative cup. The first 250 people to buy apple cider slushies will also receive an anniversary cup.
More than 70 vendors will offer samples and sell products including The Homestead Bakery, Ropp Jersey Cheese, Jon Ellis Woodworking, Peter’s Produce Smoked Cheese and Goods, Uncle Joe’s Sauces to name few. The Illinois Wine Experience will feature 16 Illinois wineries.
The Illinois Product Expo is sponsored by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, FFA and several businesses.
Saturday hours are 10 am 'til 3 pm and 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday, March 3. Admission is $5 per person; children 10 and younger are admitted free of charge.
