School kids in Illinois will be finishing out the school year from home. Governor JB Pritzker announced Friday students will continue to learn remotely. He said it’s just not safe for students to go back to their normal routine, so doors will remain closed thru the end of the academic year.
Watseka Unit Nine announced today (Friday) remote learning will continue until the end of the current school year. Additional news will be available on the school website. The district’s meal delivery program on Mondays and Wednesdays are continuing.
Iroquois County added to more positive cases of coronavirus Friday. Two females, one in her 40’s another in her 50’s brings the county total to 14. Ford County added a male to its confirmed case list for a total of five. There’s one deceased in the county. Kankakee has another death, now at 14. Kankakee County Public health added five new cases, not a total of 270.
The state of Illinois reports 1842 new cases, including 62 new deaths on Friday.
