Illinois State Police seek help locating missing person with Alzheimer’s Disease

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Pontiac, IL (05-21-15) On 05/21/2015 at 11:20 A.M., Illinois State Police District 6 Troopers were dispatched to a motorist assist on Interstate 55 southbound near milepost 177. Troopers learned the vehicle belonged to Nathaniel Burns of Hammond, Indiana.  He's a black male, 81, 5'10", 155 lbs, black hair, hazel eyes), who was reported as a missing person suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.

Troopers searched the area both on the ground and with the assistance of ISP Air Operations; however they were unable to locate Burns.


Troopers are requesting the public's assistance in locating Burns who is reported to be driving a white Pontiac G6 four door bearing Indiana registration UUL258. Burns' family advised they last saw him wearing a gray jacket, gray sweater, grey Dockers pants, and black shoes.
