IMH celebrating 100th Birthday

Iroquois Memorial Hospital welcomes the public to its 100th birthday celebration this weekend.

Several guests will join IMH officials at a program Saturday on the hospital lawn.  Tours of the hospital will be available.  Memorabilia and other displays will show the long history of the hospital at Fairman Avenue and S. 5th Street in Watseka.  The party runs from 11 am 'til 2 pm.

IMH evolved from a $50,000 donation from Anna Donovan.  The Donovan Trust has since provided several donations to worthwhile organizations throughout Iroquois County.  IMH officially opened its doors February 25, 1916.

Today, the hospital operates as an independent partner of Presence Health.
