Iroquois Memorial Hospital and Resident Home’s total impact on the area’s local economy was $83, 146, 299 in 2016 and produced 736 jobs. The numbers are according to a study completed by the Illinois Hospital Association.
“The study reveals the importance of IMH to the local community in both quality healthcare and the ripple effect of the dollars we bring to the community and the jobs we help create,” says Tim Smith, IMH President/CEO.
The study shows IMH directly created 316 jobs while indirectly created another 418 positions. The 736 jobs generated $48,849,366 in payroll.
Smith adds, IMH and hospitals throughout Illinois play a critical role in building health communities and a strong economy.
