IMH trustees step aside, praised for roles

Dennis Wittenborn and Maggie Martin have resigned from the Iroquois Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees.

Wittenborn was appointed to the board on July 3, 1997. Wittenborn was elected board chairman in June 2009. Under his leadership as chairman, the hospital opened the IMH Multi-Specialty Physicians Clinic and Iroquois Women's Health Clinic, and the hospital expanded its offerings to include dermatology, podiatry and wound care. IMH also added digital mammography technology and established an independent partnership with Presence Health.

Martin was appointed to the board by Watseka's mayor in 2004, serving as a liaison between the IMH board and the IMH Development Council. Martin served as chair of the IMH Development Council for 14 years, from its inception to 2006.
