An Indiana Beach employee was injured Saturday when he was struck by the car of a roller coaster.

The Monticello Fire Department reported crews responded to the amusement park around 1 pm for a report of a male struck by a roller coaster car.

{Officials with Indiana Beach reported the employee is a mechanic and was working on a platform of the Cornball Express roller coaster}.

The release says the man suffered multiple injuries. He was taken to IU Health White Memorial Hospital and later airlifted to Indianapolis.
