A section of State Road 26 in Indiana was shut down Thursday night after a 3-car crash. Six people were injured including two critically. Two people had to be extricated.
Tippecanoe County deputies report the accident happened around 6:15 pm, about four miles west of Rossville.
Police reported a woman southbound on county road 900 did not see the stop sign until the last second, hit her brakes and slid on to 26. That's where her car hit a truck heading west on 26, then colliding with a second car heading east.
Police said visibility was poor with the rain and the first driver wasn't familiar with the area.
The intersection was closed for more than two hours.
