Indiana Drug Task Force raids meth lab in Thayer

An active meth lad discovered near Thayer, IN finds four men facing charges.

The Newton County Drug Task Force assisted by the Newton County Sheriff’s Department raided a property site (Friday).

38-year-old Adam Saboff of Wheatfield; 44-year-old Jeffery Pearson of Thayer; 33-year-old Eric Patillo of DeMotte; and 41-year-old Chad Hesh of Thayer were arrested on multiple charges. Police were acting on a tip from the Jasper County Drug Enforcement Team.

The four face charges ranging from dealing and possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance and marijuana, and visiting a common nuisance.

“This is just another example of what can be accomplished when neighboring jurisdictions cooperate and work together,” said Newton County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Drinski. “I’m proud of the successes our task force has had recently. However, we have a lot more work to do.”
