Recent traffic fatalities at what's considered a dangerous intersection in White County, Indiana has improvements on the schedule for transportation leaders.
The intersection at U.S. Route 24 and County Road 300 E will be improved with new signage and repainting of stop bars on the roadway. The work will be completed by month's end.
State Sen. Brandt Hershman announced (Wednesday) the work will be underway soon. Hershman said "though car accidents at this intersection are declining, the two recent fatalities at U.S. 24 and 300 East highlight the need for additional safety features."
Hershman added he was pleased the Indiana Department of Transportation has recognized the need.
