Indiana U.S. Senator Todd Young has re-introduced a bill that could help forecast tornados and other dangerous storms.
The Tornado Act would require the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA, to change its methods. NOAA would need to update its standards for predicting and communicating weather alerts. Senator Young hopes that will help warn Americans about impending storms sooner and help keep people safer.
