Indiana: Low early voting turnout ahead of Tuesday Primary Election Day 2022

Election Day 2022 for the Indiana primaries came after weeks of early voting. Several contested races in the listening-area with voters getting a chance to decide who will be on their ballot in November.

Early voting numbers were down significantly from the last midterm primary election in May 2018. But area county clerks also reported there are fewer contested races in the area counties this year than there were four years ago.  Most election officials said they believe many Republican voters will choose to vote in person on Election Day.
