A 42-year-old Schneider, IN woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Iroquois County. Melissa Trueblood died of injuries at Riverside Hospital. State Police reported her southbound pickup truck crossed the center lane on Illinois Route 49 near 2400 N Road. The truck hit a northbound car driven by 24-yr-old Andrew Lesch of Papineau. Trueblood’s pickup then overturned.

Both drivers and passengers in both vehicles were taken to Riverside. The extent of injuries to 23-yr-old Elizabeth Ostrowski of Kankakee and a 4-yr-old in the Trueblood pickup wasn’t known. Police investigated just before 11:30 pm.
