Indictment in shooting of Grundy County Deputy

A Joliet man accused of shooting a Grundy County Sheriff’s Deputyhas now been idicted by a Grundy County grand jury.  DeMarkus Denwidde faces 6-counts of Attempted Murder, three counts of Aggravated Battery/Using a Deadly Weapon, and one count of Aggravated Discharge of a Weapon.

The 18-year-old Denwidde is accused of shooting Sheriff’s Deputy Tyler Post in the arm, chest and back during a foot pursuit in the town of Mazon October 7th.  He remains in the Kendall County Jail on a $10 million bond.
