The investigation is continuing into the death of a federal inmate at the Kankakee County Jail. The Daily Journal reported 31- year old Willie Weathersby was found unresponsive in his cell January 15 th. An autopsy revealed Weathersby died from an opioid overdose.

The County Sheriff’s office is still investigating how the drugs got into the facility. Records showed Weathersby was brought to the facility by the U.S. Marshalls Service.
