"The People's Law School," sponsored by the Iroquois County Bar Association for the 14th year, will be held on four Thursdays in May at the Watseka Public Library. Each session begins at 6:30 pm.

The free sessions invite the public to hear from experts on several topics.

+ May 7: "Simplified Estate Planning" with attorney Ted Spenn.

+ May 14: "Understanding Social Security" with Social Security staff member Kelly Grant.

+ May 21: "Obama Care and You" with Julie Rocknich.

+ May 28: "Meth Labs and Changing Marijuana Legislation" with Sheriff Derek Hagen.

These sessions are made possible by a grant from the Illinois State Bar Association.

"The People's Law School is a public service that provides an opportunity for the public to become educated about areas of the law," said James Tungate, bar association president. "Members of the local bar association donate their time to present the classes as a public service to the people of Iroquois County."
