A Champaign man was jailed in Iroquois County after an arrest by District 21 Illinois State Police. 55-year-old Johnny Winston Sr. was arrested Friday for possession and the manufacture/delivery of cannabis. The arrest came along I-57 around 10:14 pm. Winston was also ticketed for illegal parking on a roadway and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest happened after a state trooper came across Winston’s vehicle pulled over on the shoulder of southbound I-57 near Buckley. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 465 grams of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

Troopers also reported three other DUI arrests. 58-year-old Robert Winge of Chebanse, 38-year-old Edwardo Del Toro of Manteno and 33-year-old Jose Barrios of Beecher were stopped in Kankakee County.
