Iroquois County 50+ Golden Anniversary Celebration Has New Location

The Iroquois County Historical Society’s 50+ Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration is coming up on Sunday, April 23 at 1pm. The event will be held at First Christian/Living Hope Church on 546 N. Sixth Street, Watseka.

This free event is for any couple in Iroquois County – or those who spent the majority of their married lives in the county – who are celebrating 50 or more years of marriage during 2017.

The Historical Society is also still taking submissions of stories and recipes as part of their 50th Anniversary Celebration. If you have a story or recipe to share, they can be mailed to or dropped off at Old Courthouse Museum, 103 W. Cherry in Watseka as soon as possible.
