Iroquois County Board Chairman Leads Final Meeting

The Iroquois County Board reorganizes December 2nd. The new FY25 begins with new leadership and new board members seated.

Tuesday, veteran Board Chairman John Shure directed his final meeting. He served the Board since 2011. He has served as Chairman the last 8 years. Shure lost his District 2 seat in this year’s Primary Election.

New board members to be seated at the reorganization meeting include: Jody Munsterman (District 2), Jamie Bakken (District 3), Roger Bard (District 4).

Other incumbents winning re-election: Chad McGinnis and Lyle Behrends (District 1), Gerald ‘Jed’ Whitlow and Kathleen Perkinson (District 2), Raymond Williams (District 3), Scott Watts (District 4). All won 4-year terms with the exception of Perkinson who won a 2-year term, filling an earlier vacancy.

December 2nd’s reorganization at 9:30 am will follow a swearing-in event at the County Courthouse, scheduled at 9 am for elected County officials --- Lisa Hines (Circuit Clerk), Coroner Bill Cheatum (Coroner) and State’s Attorney Michael Quinlan.
