Iroquois County Board may act on plan for re-opening

A tele-conference is how the Iroquois County Board will conduct business at its May meeting tomorrow (Tuesday).  The agenda includes discussion and action formulating a plan for opening up business in regards to the COVID-19 crisis.  Several downstate counties have talked about ande somne have acted already, on allowing businesses to get the economy moving again.  Several groups have expressed opposition to Governor JB Pritzker's stay-at-home Order which runs thru the end of May. 

The Board may also act on a resolution postponing delinquency interest for the 1st installment of property taxes, which will soon be in the mail. Also expected is action on setting salaries for elected officials and back-pay for telecommunicators, who are now working under a new 3-year contract.
