Iroquois County Christmas Cantata >

Still time to reserve tickets, Singers can still join !

This year's Iroquois County Christmas Cantata of “Hope of the Broken World” is all set.  And there's time to reserve tickets and join in to sing too.  This musical, written by Dave Clark and David T. Clydesdale will have four December presentations: 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18; 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20; and 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23. All presentations take place at the First Christian/Living Hope Church, 546 North Sixth Street, Watseka.

The number to call to reserve tickets is: 779-235-0094. You'll need to follow voicemail instructions and when you leave your message, be sure to clearly state your name, the amount of tickets you need reserved, the time and day/date you want to attend, and a call-back number for a message or text.

Although the clock is ticking down to presentation times, anyone who would like to join the cantata's choir can do so. After being sidelined by covid the past two years, the directors would like to revive the “tradition” and need singers to make it happen. Practices are at 1 p.m. on Sundays and at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Admission to the cantata is a freewill donation. This year, donations will be presented to the Iroquois Memorial Hospital Hospice Memorial Fund. IMH Hospice is non-profit and has provided care for patients and their families over 26 years. Donations in the memorial fund are used for patient/family needs. No patient is denied service due to inability to pay.
