Two 23-year-old men died in a single-car accident early Sunday in rural Crescent City.  The accident happened east of the Iroquois County Fairgrounds on 2000 N Road, less than a mile from Route 49.

Twenty-three year-old Curtis E. Riston II,  of Watseka, and 23-year-old Patrick Bechely of Springs, Texas, were killed.  Bechely is a former local resident.

Jaron Taden of Watseka is hospitalized at Carle Hospital in Urbana.  He was transferred there from Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.

Riston was pronounced dead at the scene. Bechely died in the emergency room at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee.

County Coroner Bill Cheatum said the emergency call came in at 12:52 am.
