A car versus motorcycle crash Sunday left two people dead and another seriously injured in Iroquois County.  It happened just after 1 pm in the Village of Loda. Killed was 35-year-old Amber Garrelts of Loda and a passenger on a motorcycle, 60-year-old Greta Naese of Chebanse. They died at area hospitals. The motorcycle driver, 65-year-oldLester Naese of Chebanse, was seriously injured.

Sheriff's Police reported the accident happened at the intersection of Oak and Washington Streets.  The car driven by Garrelts  was attempting a left turn but failed to slow down to avoid hitting the motorcycle. 

Sheriff's Police, Illinois State Police, Buckley and Loda Fire and Gibson City Ambulance responded to the scene.
