A federal judge revoked the probation of an Iroquois County farmer and sentenced him to 364 days in prison. 40-year-old Jeremy Seggebruch of Cissna Park admitted to violating his court-ordered probation for federal crop insurance fraud.

The Department of Justice issued a press release stating Seggebruch had been given three years probation for making false statements to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He had under-reported the number of bushels of corn produced in relation to a federal crop insurance claim.

Seggebruch was also ordered to pay restitution of more than $300,000. U.S. District Judge James Shadid revoked the original probation last week in a Peoria courtroom.
