Iroquois County flu clinics September 24 – October 29

The Iroquois County Public Health Department has a series of flu vaccination clinics scheduled for later this month and thru October.

The clinics run from September 24 through October 29 at announced-sites in Loda, Cissna Park, Onarga, Milford, Crescent City, Watseka, Iroquois, Sheldon, Beaverville, Clifton and Chebanse.

This year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Illinois Department of Public Health are strongly advising vaccinations for anyone age 6 or older, said Vonda Pruitt, director of nursing for the local health department.

The cost is $35 per dose. A receipt will be provided to enable those with other insurance coverage to obtain reimbursement.

Cissna Park — Creekside Terrace (1-2:30 p.m. Oct. 6).

Onarga — University of Illinois Extension office (1:30-3:30 p.m. Oct. 13).

Milford — Milford Depot (1:30-3:30 p.m. Oct. 23).
Crescent City — Crescent City Community Center (1-3 p.m. Oct. 22).
