Iroquois County lays out FY22 Budget

It’s another balanced budget in Iroquois County. The County Board (Tuesday) gave tentative approval to its FY 22 plan, which will now be on file in the clerk’s office for the next few weeks. The numbers show near $6-million in revenue and the same in the expenditure column.

It's a balanced budget for the coming year, says Board Chairman John Shure.  It's no surprise, he said, "we work very hard to accomplish a balanced budget.  he said it's a testament to the board members and department heads to meet the challenges of holding the line."

Formal approval will happen next month. The new fiscal year begins December 1.
