Time to decorate trees for Christmas Tree Lane, other OCM events The Christmas trees are going up at the Old Courthouse Museum and it's time for individuals, families, groups, organizations, classrooms and such to decorate a tree for the 47th anniversary of Christmas Tree Lane.
This year's theme is "Winter Wonderland," and the staff at the museum is inviting everyone to put an extra special "touch" to the decorating of the grand and beautiful old museum. Groups can include businesses, 4H clubs, Girl or Boy Scouts, nursing facilities – anyone and everyone can participate! With everyone becoming busier and busier as the holidays approach, the museum staff feels decorating a tree is a great time to unwind and relax.
The museum will be open 10 to 4 p.m. this Wednesday, Nov. 11 – Veterans' Day – for who would like to decorate a tree but can't come in during regular hours. An artificial tree is provided – all you need to do is bring your decorations and lights. It is noted, however, trees need to be decorated by Tuesday, Dec. 1 for the open house scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5.
