Iroquois County reaching out for federal grant to fight youth drug use

Federal grant money may be available to the Iroquois County Juvenile Justice Council. The Drug-Free Communities Grant – which comes from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy -- has an allotment of $25-million to distribute to 200 communities. If approved, Iroquois County would share in the money for awareness and prevention of youths using alcohol and vaping products. The White House program partners with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention Center for Injury Prevention and Control.
