Iroquois County Relay brings home the dollars, another success story

"Journey to a Cure" is this year's theme for the Iroquois County Relay for Life. And last night's 12-hour marathon at Watseka High School again attracted people from all over the county and then some. The numbers are yet to come in on how much money was raised. But your contributions are always welcome – even after the relay.

94.1 WGFA was proud to help kick-off the event, leading up to the opening ceremony at Blake Field. The Luminaria, the Survivors Lap and the hugs & smiles make the event well worth the time and effort.

One of the chair-people helping to organize—Sara Seyfert (Sy-fert) --- can't say enough about the support.

"It's so overwhelming and the outpouring of support is something else," Seyfert said. "It's just been great for a small community."
