A recently-ruled on tele-communicators contract is sure to occupy a lot of discussion time at Tuesday’s Iroquois County Board meeting.
An arbitrator’s ruling, after months of negotiations, will cost the county $247, 245 in back pay. Retroactive wages (dating back to 2015), comp time, overtime and pay for personal days went in favor of the union .
The Finance committee learned (last week) the newly-approved FY 2018 budget is out of whack to the tune of an estimated $70,000 in salaries. Six veteran dispatch employees see back pay totaling about $30,000.
The County Board begins meeting at 5 pm Tuesday at the Administrative Center.
January, February and March county board meetings are scheduled for 5 pm starts. The same 5 pm meetings are in October, November and December. The 9 am meetings on the second Tuesday will be April thru September.
