A bit of controversy last month (June) brought on a revised resolution and Tuesday the Iroquois County Board gave approval to a resolution opposing the Firearm Owners Identifiction Card Act.
Board members, last month, all agrred most all are pro-gun supporters and support citizens rights to bear arms. However, wording in the resolution raised concern -- it stated county funds, appropriations, personnel and property are banned from enforcing the FOID Act. Supporters said there are laws we all don't agree with, but it's law.
Wording in the resolution was cleaned up and the matter is resolved and now passed.
