Iroquois officials oppose Governor grabbing LGDF monies

Gov. J.B. Pritzker is reaching into the Local Government Distributive .Fund (LGDF). And most governmental bodies don’t like it.  Counties and municipalities receive 10% of total state income tax revenues thru the fund. The Gov’s proposing to divert revenues from the LGDF to help resolve the State’s budget deficit.

The Iroquois County Board’s saying No No. A Resolution today (Tuesday) was voted on opposing the reduction in funds. And a letter to the Governor from the County Board will express the opposition.
