Iroquois County relay goers were out in force Saturday at Watseka High School. The 2017 Relay for Life reached its $80,000 goal – and then some.
There were more than 140 participants at Blake Field for this year’s one-day event. And the excitement and enthusiasm was present again as the runners/walkers did what they do best....raising research money for the American Cancer Society.
The opening ceremony at 2 pm was followed by the Survivors Lap and Caregivers Lap. There were the usual smiles and tears. And it all happened before heavy T-storms moved in Saturday night.
