Nineteen-year-old Jorge Campos of Momence is facing felony charges for an August 2023 crash that killed a Grant Park motorcyclist.  Charges against Campos include Reckless Homicide, Failure to Report a Crash involving Death, and Obstructing Justice.  He was jailed in Kankakee following the November 29th arrest by the Sate Police - DCI investigation. 

ISP report an August 27 accident in rural Momence between the Campos vehicle and a motorcycle driven by 52-year-old Bert Lawton had Campos flee the scene.  Lawton died of injuries at an area hospital.  Police said a through investigation led to Campos' vehicle being identified.
