A Hobart, Indiana man who rolled his pickup truck three times was injured and airlifted after a crash on Interstate 65 in Jasper County.
It happened about 11 am (Friday) north of the Rensselaer exit.
33-year-old Joseph Ellul of Hobart was southbound in a pickup truck. Police say evidence shows Ellul hit the rear-end of the car in front of him. Ellul's pickup then went around to the shoulder but he overcorrected. He went off the right side of the roadway and rolled his truck three times.
Ellul had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
State police said alcohol may be a factor in this crash. Toxicology results are pending.
