Jasper County crash kills Rensselaer woman

An early morning crash in Jasper County, Indiana (Wednesday) left a 33-year-old Rensselaer woman dead.

Maria Vasquez Solis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police reported the accident on State Road 16 about four miles west of U.S. 231. Authorities believe a curve in the road and snowy conditions caused two vehicles to collide head-on.

The other driver was 61-year-old Dorothy Miller of Brook. She had to be extricated from her vehicle. She was reported in serious condition.
